From vendor recommendations, to engagement session styling, and organizing your wedding timeline- I’ll be there every step of the way.
Let’s take a deep dive into Oklahoma City wedding photography!
Finding the best Oklahoma City wedding photographer can be daunting. Here is what I suggest looking into when chatting with a potential photographer.
When looking for an Oklahoma City wedding photographer to capture your special day I always stress the importance of their portfolio and style. You want to love the photos they take and you want them to fit your aesthetic. All of us have different styles and unique preferences. Make sure your photographer can capture yours.

Another thing to consider is their experience. How long have they been doing this? Do they photograph lots of weddings? Do you know anyone who has used them personally? I know we all have to start somewhere. But when it comes to your wedding day, you want someone who can handle the fast pace and unpredictable moments.
This is more of an honorable mention but it makes a huge difference. Get to know your wedding photographer’s personality. Get on a phone call with them. Follow them on Instagram. You want your wedding photographer to put you at ease. To capture your genuine emotions. Someone you’re comfortable with.
Now that we’ve covered what to look for in an Oklahoma City wedding photographer let’s look at what your day will look like when we work together.
First, you’re going to fill out the contact me form on my website. Please add your date, name, venue, and anything you think would be helpful! Getting to know my clients is one of my favorite parts so don’t get scared to be specific! I value all the details and information you provide. My goal is always a 48 hour response time because I am just as excited to get planning as you are 😊
After contacting me, I will send you my wedding brochure. This valuable brochure contains all of the information you need to know about pricing, collections and what a wedding experience looks like with me. It’s one of the best ways to get to know me a little better before we actually talk in person.
I always set up a phone call with my couples after you’ve reached out. I love to chat and get to know you and your significant other as much as possible. This is a great time to talk about hobbies and interests and help me to learn how to incorporate your personalities into your pictures.
This is the best time for us to dig deep into the vision of your wedding day. We will go over all your questions and discuss the details- big and small.
This is where things get real! I hope that we clicked and I was able to give you a ton of insight into planning your special day. If you feel the same way and want to move forward (yay!!) then we start to make it official!
I’ll send you a contract and ask for a retainer fee ($450) to secure your date. Keep in mind the remainder will be due 2 weeks before the actual wedding. And if you need, we can discuss payment plans for your convenience.
After all the legal stuff is done, you’ll receive a 20-page wedding guide. This guide is jam-packed with vendor recommendations, tips for your wedding, and how to book the engagement session.
We are one step closer!! Now we get to plan the engagement session! Trust me, this isn’t as crazy as planning your whole wedding. Think of your engagement session as an hour-long date…but you’re getting your pictures taken!
Once you’ve got the date down, we’ll talk about outfits and what makes the most sense. I allow 2 outfits for my engagement sessions. I have a lot of clients who opt to do one fancy and one casual. But please, feel free to do whatever fits your vibe best! And if you’re not sure what to do, I’m always there to help!
Client Perk: I have a client closet with dresses that you are more than welcome to wear to your session!
Now we’ve got the date and the outfits, let’s pick the spot! When you book your engagement session online you’ll go through a questionnaire that will really help us pick a spot. But please, send me all the screenshots and engagement inspo you have!
I’ve written a whole guide on some of my favorite spots here. But feel free to mention any other places that you might be interested in!
Around 2-3 weeks after your engagement session, you’ll receive 30 digital images to use all you want! Think invitations, Instagram, and wedding photo collages. Whatever you decide to use them for, please tag me! I love to see how clients display their photos, especially at the wedding!
Now that the engagement session is done and you have the photos, it’s wedding time!! About three months prior to the big day I’ll set up another phone call with you.
This is an important one. We are going to walk through the timeline. We’ll get a picture of what your day is going to look like. And we’ll start finalizing all the little details. I want to be as prepared as possible and I want you to feel like we’re on the same page. Next up… the big day!
Most of us spend years dreaming about our wedding. We know our color scheme, flowers, and bridesmaids’ dresses years before the day arrives. This is why I take my photography so seriously. For a lot of us, this is our dream come true and I feel so honored to capture that.
I want to capture every special moment and item of your day. This is why I give you a small checklist of things I like to have ready. To give you clarity on your day and give me the ability to capture every little detail.
As you may already know, so much has gone into planning your day… save the dates, invitations, florals, jewelry, accessories, special gifts, something old, something new, something blue, ETC!! Let’s remember the little things by storing them in a to-go box for us to put together and capture in a gorgeous spot. It’s a great little shot just to remember for your own memories!

Whoever is helping you run the show: a parent, a maid of honor, a best man, a planner or a day-of coordinator, remind them of when we’ll be arriving and departing. This will help them tell us how the timeline is going, what we need to capture that’s time-sensitive and to show us where to set up our stuff!
Sometimes our couples have these spots picked out ahead of time, and sometimes they don’t! We suggest that you let us pick these spots for you so you get the most aesthetic background/best shots for lighting purposes during all picture sessions, such as your first look spot, family portraits, sunset portraits, etc!

This is what they signed up for! Remind them of their responsibilities ahead of time. Make sure the best man knows he’s in charge of the rings. Have your maid of honor keep track of who’s arriving at what time. And from experience, make sure they get you fed! Don’t be too busy to take a few moments to eat so you can enjoy this huge moment in your life.
Try to delegate tasks out to each one so that way you’re not constantly stressed about what’s going on. The maid of honor and best man are going to have more free time than you to oversee the important things. So let them take charge!
Don’t forget to savor the moment of your wedding day…deep breaths. You both have been planning and getting excited for this day – don’t miss it by stressing out about the small stuff, family drama or things out of your control. This day is all about you and the love of your life tying the knot and saying forever. Have the time of your life and we’ll document the love, memories and good times this day will bring!
Go enjoy your honeymoon, open up your wedding gifts, read your letters, and soak in that post-wedding bliss! You’re married! And while you do that, we’ll be working super hard and editing a magical wedding film for you both to cry and laugh with!
Time for the most exciting part…your gallery delivery! Your wedding photo/film will be delivered within 6-8 weeks through an online gallery. I don’t want my clients waiting forever for their photos so I try to get them to you as quickly as possible. But don’t worry, you’ll be getting some sneak peeks to look at in the meantime 😉
Once you get your photos, grab your significant other and a bottle of wine or your favorite beverage. There’s nothing quite like reliving the most incredible day and reminiscing on it together. Make a date night out of it!
And just like with the engagement photos, you have all the printing rights to your photos, so print away! However you decide to use them, please share them with me or tag me! I love to see how clients display their images.
We’ve just covered a ton of information from what to look for in Oklahoma City wedding photographers to what your entire process looks like when we work together. And now that we’ve got that all covered, let’s talk about some of my most frequently asked questions.

Engagement sessions include 2 outfit changes and 30 digital images within a turnaround time of 2-3 weeks.

However, you can expect to receive sneak peeks within 48 hours! The final wedding gallery will be delivered within six weeks. I take a lot of pride in a quick turnaround so that you can enjoy your photos!
I offer a 6-hour minimum because this is the perfect amount of time to capture the entire day without feeling too rushed. A lot goes on during a wedding day. Trying to fit it all in less than 6 hours tends to get hectic.
I do offer smaller packages for elopements with less than 20 guests. But please contact me for more information.
